What is container virtualization?
Container virtualization is when a virtual machine emulates a host Operating System (OS). This is done to isolate and control process’ and their access to CPUs, memory and disk space. It’s also known as OS-level virtualization since it doesn’t emulate the entire server.
Container virtualization helps free up resources and speed up processes.
Containers have pre-set resource limitations, which can be adjusted at any time by a server administrator.
